Long Arm Certification Class
The beginning Long Arm Classes are $159.99 per person and have only two people on each machine, in a hands-on, 4.5-hour class that runs from 10:00am – 2:30 pm and includes a 30 minute lunch break. Lunch will be provided. Payment is required at registration.
You will receive a class kit that is included in the class fee. The kit will include:
- One set of Quick Zip Zippers
- A Sample Panel to practice on
- Batting
- Backing
- Pins
- Thread
In the class you will learn how to load your quilt and the basics of using the machine, such as bringing up the thread from the bottom, starting and ending. You will learn to use the machine to do computerized edge-to-edge quilting.
By the end of class you will be able to quilt an all-over design on your own quilt.
Once you’ve taken the basic Long Arm Certification Class, we invite you to rent our long arm machine by the hourand get those quilt tops made into quilts! The machine rents for $30/hour. The fee includes thread and use of our edge-to-edge pantograph patterns. Machine rental is by appointment.
