Beginners Free Motion Quilting



You will learn how to set up your machine, figure out what kind of thread & needles to use and designs you are capable of creating.  With practice you can go from doodles to beautiful placemats, wall hangings and quilts!


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: You will need to know how to set up your machine for free motion quilting, have basic FMQ skills and know how to make tension adjustments as needed.
Requirements: Supply List: You will need 3 quilt sandwiches per class - backing/batting/top - they only need to be approximately 18" x 21" Thread - 40 to 50 wt cotton or poly (we like Glide) Needles: 90/14 microtex or 90/14 topstitch Doodle Book (take notes & practice designs) Darning/Free Motion Foot Sewing Gloves/Grip Pads (available at Cardinal Creations)
