Paper-piecing allows for more accurate blocks - especially when they are more complicated. This class will start with some simple trees, so that you can learn the basics.

Requirements: | Sewing machine (must be able to reduce the length of your stitches), needles (70-10 preferred, but 80-12 will work), neutral thread, fabric glue stick, pins, add-a-quarter ruler, thin plastic about 2" X 12" (template plastic works). Fabric: Ground - Cream to darker browns - two or four matching pieces about 5" x 4" Tree Trunk - Browns or wood grains - one or two pieces about 2 1/2" x 4" Sky - Blues or grays. "Sky" fabrics will work but you will need to watch directions and it can get confusing. Two to six pieces ranging from 5" X 3" to 10" X 6" depending on pattern. Greens - All shades and values. It works better to have lots of choices ranging from light to dark. Minimum of four to seven pieces ranging from 3"x 3" to 10" x 4" |
